Trip Day 2 - p4
Waiting in the heat to get going!
And we're off.
The drum section had it tough today.. playing nonstop and carrying heavy drums in the heat!
There's Jen conducting the band as we parade on.
Fortunately, for the first half of the parade the tall buildings provided a little bit of shade!
I'll tell you
what folks, the City of Oswego had a lot to be proud of today!
The kids did a tremendous job and the crowds all along the parade route really
cheered
them on! Despite the fact that it was the hottest parade we've ever done
the kids put on a super performance. All those fundraisers
really paid off!
Even though we
played an Earth Wind and Fire song
they really deserve a "high five" for all the
Blood Sweat and Tears (actually I didn't see any of those)
they put into the parade today!
After the
parade ...we cooled off and had a box lunch..
Went back to the hotel and showered
AND THEN....
